Micro-Continuity Review
By Jeffery Wood | October 28, 2009
Russell Brunson’s Micro-Continuity (or Micro-C for short) program came out a while ago, and I bought it.
What I got was a MP3 player pre-loaded with approximately 6 hours of a live seminar where he teaches the Micro Continuity Membership Model, how to set it up, drive traffic and all the other usual suspects. I also got a free 14 day trial to his training videos which if I liked them I could continue them.
What it is, is another “How to set up a membership site”, only with a twist. I don’t remember why I bought it at the time because normally I run away from things like this.
Membership sites can be very profitable, but they can also be a lot of work as can any business model. Generally speaking I know I will not do well with a membership site business model (it really does help to know yourself and your limits) but this one is different.
Micro-Continuity teaches something called a fixed term membership program. Essentially what that means is that instead of running on forever, there is a fixed limit to the length of the membership period.
Now that is something I could do, in fact while listening to the mp3 player as I walked to work, I came up with a great idea for my own Micro-Continuity site.
Here’s the good, the bad, the summary (kind of loses the effectiveness of “The good, the bad, and the ugly” which is the title of a movie).
The Good:
It actually is a sound business model as far as I can tell. Russell does tell you what you need to know and if you have experience setting up websites, this will cover what you need.
Also, in the first module, he covers the pros and cons of a few different business models which I thought was great. He seemed pretty fair in his assessments, so he wasn’t being critical, just factual.
His customer service is also great. I had a misunderstanding about the 14 day trial and they took care of it straight away.
The Bad:
It is a recording of a live seminar. So near the beginning of the seminar they do a good job of repeating questions asked by the attendees, but near the end there were times I couldn’t really make out what they (the attendees) were saying, but from Russell’s responses I did get the jist of it.
Being a recording you miss out on the visuals, but the video training should help there if you choose to carry on with the training.
That’s really the only thing bad about it.
The Summary:
This is a worthwhile investment if you’ve any inkling for doing a membership site of any kind.
Your initial investment (at the time I’m writing this) is $9.97 to cover the shipping charges for the MP3 Player with the seminar. If you wish to continue the training videos after the 14-day trial then there is a monthly charge for the six months it lasts (The Micro-Continuity Membership is based on it’s own model). The videos are delivered weekly.

Hi Jeffery,
I did pay for the trial membership, that included the MP3 player. I never got the MP3 player. I called and complained, but…it’s like, what are you gonna do for a buck…or whatever, it was. I think I paid the s/h for it.
The main reason that I didn’t make a big stink over it, cuz I’ve been known to do that, was I really did like Russel’s DotCom magazine.
I WAS disappointed that I missed my trial membership period, because I thought I needed to wait for the MP3 player to show up…
Again, I’ve got a dozen more excuses for not complaining, most of them are my fault. I’m not going to begrudge the IM millionaire getting paid for an excellent promotion.
He did, what is it called, over give? So, again, how I could complain for not getting what I ordered when I got more than I expected.
Did I really need the MP3? Oh wells.

Sending out a free mp3 player? thats quite a nice strategy – especially considering how cheap they are these days!

Wow. That’s quite the opposite experience than what I had. That’s a shame too because the information was worth it. I didn’t care about the trial period so much as it was beyond my budget. I thought I had a 30 day trial not a 14 day and they did take care of that for me.

It was definitely a stroke of genius for that maneuver.
