Why Blog?

Why blog? In one word…traffic. If you do any business whatsoever on the web, creating blogs is a great way to garner traffic…Lots of traffic. And we all know what traffic means…prospects, and prospects mean revenue. As a photographer with an ebook on the market, e-marketing is absolutely imperative to getting the word out about my book.

We have entered an era where traditional marketing strategies are no more useful or affective than corn cobs are for toilet paper. In other words, its time to grow with the times and that requires a whole new set of tools to work with. I’m of the old school of traditional marketing concepts which created old way hurdles for me to overcome. Case in point…blogging, key words, site hits and analytics; for me this was all new territory. However, once learned and applied…Viola. Success is just a stones throw away.

Blogs are like having your own editorial section in the newspaper, only you can speak of the things that pertain solely to your interests and business at hand. I guarantee there will be others that also share your same interests. I created my blogs to obviously pertain to photography, since I’m a photographer. On a hunch, I thought there just might be others that also share the same interests as me. Go figure, there are indeed other photographer wanna-bees out there that share the same interest in lighting as I. Because of learned techniques and specific applications to properly create good blogs, those blogs have created traffic which in turn creates revenue. And that’s a good thing…

Blog for traffic…Blog for revenue.
